Brand Identity

The goal of this project was to create an original tea brand by developing the name, logos, package designs, and a comprehensive style guide. The purpose was to efficiently design a fictional brand with all the visual elements needed to bring it to life. The design process began by brainstorming a two-word name for the brand and then creating the logo to reflect that identity. Research played an important role throughout this project, as I studied existing logos to understand why certain designs succeed while others fall short. The same method was applied when developing packaging, gathering inspiration from other brands to guide the visual direction. From there, I sketched traditional concepts before finalizing the designs in Adobe Illustrator.

When selecting design elements, I focused on achieving a modern, playful look that incorporated illustrative details. I chose colors with a lively, energetic feel, giving the brand a fun pop rather than the more refined, sophisticated palette typical of many tea companies. This same approach carried through to the typography and packaging layouts, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand presence.

Overall, Sweet Steep represents a balance of research-driven design and creative experimentation. By blending thoughtful strategy with expressive visuals, the project demonstrates how branding can both stand out in a crowded market and create an inviting, memorable experience for consumers.
