East Bay Graphic Design Envelope Identity System

This project began as a design competition to create a new envelope identity system for the East Bay Graphic Design program. My concept was selected as the winning design, and the envelopes will be produced for the official student folders in Fall 2025. This gives the project real impact within the department and a life beyond the assignment.

For this project, I created a modular envelope identity system that brings the East Bay Graphic Design department together under one clear look, while still giving each course its own personality. The goal was to make something that feels unified across the program but flexible enough to represent seven different classes in a way that feels natural and intentional.

The system works like a visual family. Each envelope shares the same core structure, but every class gets its own variation that reflects its vibe. It’s designed to be practical as well as expressive, with a space for student and instructor info so the envelopes are actually useful, not just nice to look at.
